Stuff What I Haven’t Done Yet
Because if I wrote it on a piece of paper, I might lose it.
The carousel went over well with my other sister as well, so I guess I'll be making at least one more of them. Probably a different design - I've got another set of plans. Better not let the in-laws see it or I'll never get anything else built.
A recorder stand. The world needs a good one that’s portable.
More Ukes. Eventually a resonator and a banjo uke. And maybe a baritone. And SWMBO wants a tenor - she’s adopted the first one, and wants one like it, only light colored, with purpleheart binding. And a hula dancer. And palm trees.
Recorders. I built one, and it’s a dog. This is pretty low priority for me at the moment, though.
Herb stand. I don't know what else to call it; a multi-level platform for little plants in pots. For SWMBO.
Lap Steel guitar. If it's fun to play with, maybe a Weissenborn.
Early Romantic, Baroque, or Renaissance guitar. The fewer strings (well, okay, courses), the better, as I don't play guitar. That's way down the road.
Sheet Music Cabinet. These used to be common items of furniture, but just try to find one these days. Sheet music is larger than regular notebook paper, so a file cabinet often won't work. Besides, some cabinets had a neat arrangement where all the shelves would swing out when you open the door. I'm currently using two broken file boxes and a tote bag for my music.
A sandpaper organizer. And a benchtop box for small tools.
Scroll saw portrait of my dog. Yeah, I know it's sappy. It's my saw, I'll cut what I want with it.
